Llonganissa Casa Sendra
(llonganissa is a kind of salami sausage).
Casa Sendra’s llonganissa is the only one that contains no additives, no plastic casings and made from locally raised pigs. It has been awarded Le Guide des Gourmands “Coq d’Or for Best Food in Spain” in 2006. They don’t have a website, a trip to Vic to savour it, it is worth a visit, and admire their jewelry like showroom.

Nanimarquina Shop.
In these days that economic problems prevail all around, we celebrate the opening of a new shop and especially this big showroom that contains a wide sample of the rugs designed by Nani Marquina. The store is located in Rosselló St. very close to Casa de les Punxes and to Passeig de Gràcia.
Sitges vintage car rally in March.
. Sitges vintage car rallye. 20th, 21st and 22nd of March.
Gleaming vintage cars, dating back from before 1924, parade along the Catalonian coast for crowds of spectators during the Sitges Vintage Car Rally.
This year, they are celebrating the 52nd edition. The antique vehicles start in St. Jaume’s square in Barcelona and race along the old seaside road to the popular resort of Sitges. Many of the drivers enter into the spirit of the occasion by wearing 1920’s outfits.
Sitges is located very close to the Penedès region, one of the areas of Catalonia where the culture of wine has its roots settled from centuries.

Barcelona Marathon: Run & Relax

The Barcelona Marathon was first run in 1977 and has come on in leaps and bounds. Today thousands of entrants form a fast-running stream right through the city, from the northern suburbs to the beachfront. The starting and ending point is in Maria Cristina Av. in front of the Montjuïc Fountain.

the route covers the last 4 kilometers of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games Marathon and ends up in the Olympic Stadium.

The Museum of Fundació Antoni Tàpies is located in the old publishing house Simon y Muntaner in the Eixample district. The building was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner, one of the most important architects of Modernism, and it’s a red brick house crowned by a sculpture of Tàpies “Núvol i cadira” (Cloud and chair).
The Museum is the leading exhibition of the works of Antoni Tàpies, but it hosts as well temporary exhibitions of other artists.
It has been closed for renovation but on the 4th of March official reopening is scheduled. We’ll be pleased to guide you through the venue discovering the masterpieces of this magnificent artist.
